Makovecz Imre

20.11.1935 – 27.09.2011

„From the very beginning I wanted to build a single building, the one that existed even before the creation of mankind.”

His art is unique and fascinating.

Many of his famous creations still impress visitors today, for example the Paks Church and the Evangelical Church in Siófok, the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, the swimming pool in Eger, the Onion House and the Hagymatikum Spa in Makó. In our country, his work is represented by more than one hundred buildings with different functions and distinct stylistic characteristics. In his view, architecture is nothing other than the harmonious union of building and environment.

The renovation of the entire green area, the relaxation garden with a promenade, VR experiences, as well as sports facilities such as beach volleyball courts and football tennis, provide even more reasons to visit. The Zsolnay thermal water drinking fountain, the thermal well with certified healing water, and the cold water well all contribute to maintaining your health.
